Rates and Estimating Your Project's Cost
Based on our experience, we believe that all manuscripts benefit from the full range of services that are included in your Xenofile Editing review.
To estimate your cost, please consider the following. A typical manuscript of 3,000 words takes approximately 11-13 hours of editing before you accept the final version. The cost for 12 hours of editing would be $900 at the Academic Standard Rate of $75/hour, USD. If your manuscript requires very little work, it will require less time and will cost less. If your manuscript requires more work, it will require more time and will cost more. We always work as quickly and accurately as possible so that your cost will be as low as possible.

SUBSTANTIVE or CONTENT EDITING
Stylistic and organizational editing at the document level; substantial rewriting and reorganization when required to improve clarity; ensures the highest level of professional presentation.
COPYEDITING
Stylistic and organizational editing at the sentence level; often involves a moderate level of rewriting to improve the clarity of sentences; includes proofreading.
PROOFREADING
Correction of spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation; minor changes in words to ensure consistency in tense and format; changes in format to match journal-specific submission guidelines.
CONTRACT. We request that you accept our Standard Agreement (below) before we begin editing your manuscript.
FINAL PAYMENT. Upon satisfactory completion of our editing services, we will submit an invoice to you showing the balance in U.S. dollars. Payment is requested within 30 days. Payment may be made by international wire transfer or cheque.
