1. Submit your work for evaluation by Xenofile Editing
Submit your work for a free evaluation by sending an email to info@xenofileediting.com with the subject line “Evaluation Request”, and attach your manuscript file (and figure and table files if separate from the manuscript file). If the files are too large to send by email, then please upload them to a cloud server and send us a link to them. The preferred format is Microsoft Word®. We will respond with a cost estimate within two working days at no obligation to you!
Whether or not you requested an estimate of the time and cost, when you are ready for us to edit your manuscript, please read the terms of the Standard Agreement. If the Standard Agreement is acceptable to you, then send an email to info@xenofileediting.com with attached files (as described above). In the email, please state that you accept the Standard Agreement and request that we begin editing your manuscript.
3. We do the rest … with a little help from you
We will attempt to complete the entire edit within 14 days or less. Typically, this requires the edited manuscript to be sent back and forth between us 2 – 3 times. Therefore you will need to respond to the changes and suggestions made in each edit. Exceptionally long or difficult manuscripts may take longer. We will inform you if this is the case. Rush service is also available. After you accept the final version of the manuscript, an invoice will be sent to you by email. We request that you pay by international wire transfer or cheque in U.S. dollars within 30 days of the invoice date.
The security of your manuscript is as important as the proper editing of it. Your manuscript is treated with confidentiality, and only Xenofile Editing employees will have access to it.
At your request, we will execute a non-disclosure agreement with you.
We will hold your manuscript for at least one year in secure electronic storage after we have completed your job. We can hold it longer if you request it in writing. This could serve as a useful backup source of information if your original data and manuscript files are lost.
At no time does Xenofile Editing own the copyright to your manuscript.
